Premiações | Confira a lista dos principais indicados ao Grammy 2021!

Hoje (24) a Recording Academy anunciou os indicados ao Grammy 2021. A premiação acontecerá dia 14 de março “com ou sem vacina contra COVID-19” – disse Harvey Mason jr., presidente/CEO interino da Recording Academy, mas pode ter certeza que ela será bem diferente do habitual. Novas informações serão divulgadas ainda sobre qual formato a Academia irá fazer, mas de uma coisa é certa: acontecerá e será ao vivo do Staples Center, em Los Angeles, sendo apresentado por Trevor Noah.

Muitos artistas como The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Post Malone, Lady Gaga já estavam nas possíveis listas de previsões que alguns veículos fizeram – muitos estavam certos, porém o que ninguém esperava (tanto os veículos quanto o grande público) era The Weeknd não ser indicado a nenhuma categoria. The Weeknd por exemplo, era um forte candidato a concorrer as principais categorias da premiação: Álbum do Ano, Gravação do Ano e Música do Ano por todo o conceito completo e complexo que o álbum After Hours traria e não teve nenhuma indicação. Algumas indicações inéditas aconteceram, como o BTS e Noah Cyrus. Rina Sawayama também poderia ter sido indicada no Grammy, já que Sawayama recebeu vários elogios e notas altíssimas nos principais sites de avalição musical.

Beyoncé foi a que recebeu mais indicações, com 9, sendo duas entre as principais categorias. Algo inédito que também aconteceu foi uma lista só de indicadas na categoria de Melhor Performance Rock, com Fiona Apple, Big Thief, Phoebe Bridgers, HAIM, Brittany Howard e Grace Potter.
